Whiskey Runner Quarterly

Our fabulous fall event is here. NO PASSPORTS REQUIRED is November 2nd beginning and ending at A.J.'s Co-Op Grill in beautiful Arlington Arizona. See whiskeyrunners.org/events for more details.

As the weather cools down and the dust settles from a long summer, it’s time for one of our most anticipated events of the year: No Passports Required, an Off Road Poker Run hosted by the Whiskey Runners. Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 2nd, as we gather to raise money for local schools, scholarships, and other community-based charities in need. This year’s event promises to be bigger and better, offering a full day of off-road excitement, camaraderie, and a whole lot of fun, all in support of a great cause!

The event kicks off at A.J.'s Co-Op Grill in Arlington, Arizona, where we’ll begin registration at 8:00 AM. Participants are encouraged to arrive early, as the last registered vehicle will be heading out by 10:00 AM sharp. Whether you’re in a Jeep, side-by-side, dirt bike, or your trusty truck, everyone is welcome. The route is designed for all types of off-road vehicles and promises a scenic yet challenging trail.

Each participant will draw their poker hand as they navigate between checkpoints, hoping to win one of two prizes for either the High Hand or the Low Hand. Last year, we had a prize pool exceeding $1200, and we expect this year’s to be even more impressive!

After completing the route, all vehicles must return to A.J.’s Co-Op Grill by 2:00 PM, where we’ll gather for a celebration that includes live music, food, drinks, raffles, and more. The prize ceremony will take place between 3:00 and 4:00 PM, so be sure to stick around to see who takes home the big wins.

Beyond the thrill of the ride, we’ve lined up a full day of entertainment and activities for everyone, whether you're on the trail or relaxing back at the Grill. Expect to see:

  • Live Music: We’ll have a local band performing throughout the day, keeping the energy high as we celebrate another successful Poker Run.

  • Raffles & 50/50 Drawing: Test your luck with our raffles, featuring a variety of items generously donated by local businesses. One of our most popular prizes is always our custom 2nd Amendment item, a true treasure for any collector or enthusiast. Plus, the 50/50 drawing offers a chance to win half the cash pot!

  • Vendors: Shop from a range of local vendors, offering everything from handcrafted goods to off-road accessories and more.

  • Great Food & Cold Drinks: A.J.’s Co-Op Grill will be serving up delicious meals and refreshing beverages all day, so you can refuel and relax after the ride.

At the heart of the No Passports Required  Poker Run is our mission to give back to the community. This event is not just about having a great time—it’s about making a difference in the lives of our neighbors. All proceeds from this year’s event will primarily go toward our Memorial Scholarship Fund and supporting High School Skills Clubs and Classes. These funds provide scholarships for local high school seniors pursuing trade schools and vocational training, as well as support for skills-based programs that empower students with hands-on learning experiences. These initiatives help ensure that our young people have the tools they need to succeed, no matter what path they choose in life.

The Whiskey Runners wouldn’t be able to host events like No Passports Required without the help of our dedicated volunteers. As a 501(c)(3) organization, we rely on people who are passionate about off-roading, riding motorcycles, and giving back to the community. And now, we’re looking to grow our family!

We host two planned fund raising events per year, including No Passports Required and our annual Chili Cook Off, for which there’s plenty of work that goes into making each one a success. From helping with events planning to managing checkpoints, setting up raffles, and assisting with registration, we have a variety of volunteer roles available.

If you love off-roading or riding motorcycles and have some time to donate a few times a year, we’d love to have you join us. The Whiskey Runners is a family-oriented group, and we believe in having fun while making a difference. Volunteering with us is not only a chance to meet new people and get involved in exciting events, but it’s also a way to give back to the community in a meaningful way.

Whether you’re an experienced rider or simply someone who wants to help, there’s a place for you in our organization. Talk to any of the Whiskey Runners about volunteering and becoming part of our family!
